Like many other events across Canada, the East Coast’s largest heavy equipment show has been postponed until 2022.

Show organizer Master Promotions, in conjunction with the Atlantic Land Improvement Contractors Association (ALICA), has decided to push the Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show (AHES) to next year.

“We were hopeful that by the spring of 2021 we’d see some loosening of quarantine requirements and that some provincial borders would reopen,” Mark Cusack, the company’s national show manager, said in a release. “Unfortunately, the situation remains quite fluid and we’re still seeing many companies with bans on corporate travel and in-person events.”

AHES was originally slated to take place last April, but was delayed when COVID-19 reached North America in early 2020. It was rescheduled for this April, but the ongoing pandemic has again forced the show organizers to postpone the event.

“We can’t wait to bring everyone together when it’s safe to do so, but for now we are prioritizing the health and safety of everyone involved with Atlantic Heavy and positioning it for a safe and successful return next April,” Cusack added.

AHES 2022 will take place at the Moncton Coliseum Complex April 13-14, 2022.

To help “bridge the gap” for firms that rely on the show for the latest on new equipment, Master Promotions said it is introducing the new Canadian Heavy Equipment Showcase to help equipment makers reach buyers with new products and services.
